Multiple Intelligences is a concept that challenges the preconceived notion that a person's intelligence is purely based on test scores, like the IQ test. This concept, coined by Professor Howard Gardner of Harvard University, further explains that everyone is intelligent in many ways, and goes on to mention the 8 different types of intelligences that a persin can possess, namely; Musical Intelligence, Naturalist Intelligence, Verbal / Linguistic Intelligence, Body/ Kinesthetic Intelligence, Visual/ Spatial Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Logical/ Mathematical Intelligence and Intrapersonal Intelligence.
Ideally, any lesson taught should incorporate most, if not all of these intelligences, to ensure that all students with their different intelligences will be able to grasp what is taught.

Multiple Intelligences, though an ideal theory, is not practised in many Malaysian schools, simply because of the difficulty of creating learning plans and syllabus that will be able to cater to all students, with different intelligences. Though this remains a challenge, it has potential to improve. The Young Entrepreneur Camp 2010 will feature activities that will cater to all types of intelligences.
Yes, that is true! We incorporate dances, games, videos, numbers, puzzles, notes, motivation sessions, nature-related lessons and speaking opportunities for these young budding entrepreneurs so learning will be optimized!
